I’m crying 😭 you are such a beautiful soul and person and writer, and will be/are an incredible mother. Want to hear something funny? My post that’s scheduled to post tomorrow am starts with a page from We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. It’s my absolute favorite children’s book and I read to my kids almost every day too 💕💕💕 sending you and your husband a giant virtual hug!
thank you for your kind kind words Emily ♥️♥️ I cannot wait to read your post!!! The book is a family favorite since I was little, though I have decided it is must better with an engaged audience vs a belly haha excited for that day to come
I’m also going through pregnancy after loss, and at 15 weeks, many of these emotions are familiar to me. Especially the bits about grieving whilst celebrating, and chastising myself for feeling excited, when I haven’t quite left behind what could have been. It feels comforting to know that my thoughts aren’t that wildly crazy, so thanks ❤️
Ahhhhhhhh, I waited until I had laptop time to leave a comment because somehow an iPhone text comment didn't feel like enough. SUPER huge congratulations to you and your husband. Fellow first/only/Virgo (9/5) checking in. You are going to be such a wonderful mom. I too have a "he" who never arrived one May, only to welcome a sweet baby girl the following January. She graduates from 8th grade tomorrow! Life is indeed hard and soft and sad and happy and hopeful and grieving all in the same moment. And round ligament pain is FOR THE BIRDS. Wishing you all the good things and sending huge hugs.
Jenn!!! This comment made me so happy, thank you thank you thank you. So incredible how all of our stories can overlap in different ways, congrats to your grad!! I'm sure it will be such a special day for all of you :)
Meighan this was so beautifully written. It took me back to my first pregnancy, where all of the emotions are so raw and real. Here to warn that the random outbursts of tears are here to stay! My kindergarten brought home his yearbook last week, and I immediately melted into a puddle of tears…CONGRATS AND SO EXCITED FOR YOU!
