This week is a special one!!!! Monday I am in the office, but Tuesday my husband and I are closing on our FIRST HOUSE! Then Wednesday is a full day of client visits, Thursday is a half day of client visits + Friday I will be in the office to make up for taking 1 too many WFH days. Lots of movin & groovin, so let’s see what we leave the house in.
Monday:
Sunday night game plan: it’s been flood warning thunderstorms all day today, which is very uninspiring to say the least. Tomorrow it will likely be wet outside even if it’s not raining, so I think I want to wear my workhouse black loafers. I think I’m gonna go with a black linen skirt, a grey cardigan and those shoes. Simple always for a Monday!
Monday morning: Outfit comes together pretty quickly. I try on some little cheetah print pumps when my husband promptly tells me it is going to rain again today, so I pivot back to the loafers.
Anything missing? I wish I wore my sheer polka dot socks vs. the white ones which read school uniform looking back.
Tuesday:
Today is the day we close on our home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wear this white dress that’s both comfortable and cute, put my navy cardigan over my shoulders because it was a little brisk this AM, and pair it with gold old navy sandals that might be 10 years old + my knit bag from Portobello Road that I’m obsessed with. All around happy outfit for a VERY HAPPY DAY 🥹🥹🥹 of signing lots of papers, picking out paint samples and waiting to hear “go pick up your keys” from our attorney. Yippppeeee!!!
Wednesday:
Wednesday morning: today is a full day of client meetings, and I get to sleep in a little because they’re close to home :) This combo is another go-to for client visits. Navy on navy with a silk scarf (the top and skirt are both over 5 years old from J.Crew) Once again, my nude heels make an appearance.
The newest addition to this outfit is this blue necklace from Sezane. I am obsessed and have been wearing it constantly as a pop of color. I only got it 2 months ago and have already worn it over 6 times, which feels like a good purchase to me.
Thursday:
Wednesday night game plan: tomorrow it will be fall weather once again (low of 55) so I will want to wear a sweater. It is also a client on-site day, but they are pretty casual so I will use my favorite red trousers as the base. I got them at an Alice and Olivia sample sale in 2018 and they are peak professional with personality.
Thursday morning: I wake up and grab my red pants, and pair them with a grey cardigan and snakeskin heels. It translates from my head to real life pretty well. I do try an iteration of it with my scarf and nude heels from yesterday, but decide that’s an outfit to save for another day. (Secondhand pant options in red, pink or blue)
Anything missing? I need a better silver necklace option, the one I wear everyday is gold and this outfit called for a silver.
Friday:
Thursday night game plan: I lay out a white T, white pants, black belt and a red sweater for over my shoulders. Pretty much an exact replica of an outfit I saw another girl at the office wear 🙃
Friday morning: I wake up and it’s going to get up to 80 today! I swap out the pants combo for a white dress, keep the red sweater and add my sambas. I’m usually WFH on Fridays but I have taken too many mid-week days lately, so today we are making the commute in.
Anything missing? I got so many compliments on this outfit today I will be repeating asap!!!
Trying to give some fun secondhand options for things that are oldies but goodies??? Do people like that???
I’ll be streaming Sabrina Carpenter all weekend on repeat - every song is my favorite song! BYE!
