Lacrosse season kicked off this week, which means the next 2 months will consist of Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday/Sundays with 25 12-year-old girls. I have to say that it is one of the more infuriating yet rewarding things I have done for the past 4 years, and I am quite excited that I have signed up for another round. For anyone with a middle school daughter or niece, I would love to know what they are into - anything that can get me on their good side lol. So far, it’s Sour Patch Kids and hoop earrings!
In terms of getting dressed this week, I was a copycat through and through, and I have no problem admitting it. Sometimes the amount of content floating around can be overwhelming, and other times it can take the mental load out of looking at your closet and thinking “wtf do I do.” And with that admission!
Let’s see what we left the house in…
Monday 3/24
Sunday night game plan: I go to sleep after White Lotus and have absolutely no plan for tomorrow, even though it includes 2 on-site client meetings…….
Monday morning: it’s raining outside, and will be all day. For warmth and structure, I start with my J.Crew kick flares (newer addition to the closet, I am a fan but still figuring out what to wear on top with them?). I pull an old navy and white silk top from Theory and then my patent leather Prada heels which can withstand the rain. At the last minute, I grab my yellow sweater to throw over my shoulders for warmth. Very happy with this decision as the wind is whipping on my commute and I end up needing the layer!
Tuesday 3/25

Monday night game plan: n/a
Tuesday morning: I don’t know what to wear but then I think about the video of Kendall Jenner’s outfits I watched yesterday’s from
’ Monday dispatch. The black + brown + red combo looked pretty great and so I just try that with what I own. Starting with black trousers, I pull a fitted Zara black t-shirt off the top of our folded clean laundry pile, my darker brown leather belt + flats, and then a red sweater over my shoulders (similar). The result is something I very much like for this transitional weather.Wednesday 3/26

Tuesday night game plan: tomorrow we have a global team bowling competition after work. We have been told that we are good to wear clothes to bowl in, which means I’m going to wear denim. I scroll through some pins before bed and think I know what I’ll wear - jeans + white t + blazer + loafers. A classic combo, so there should be no issues.
Wednesday morning: I try on my original idea and it doesn’t hit. It’s funny, when I have my entire closet open for work, it feels stressful! Like I need to really take advantage!! I think about another inspo photo from last night, and go all white with my base, add a denim shirt under my blazer (similar on crazy sale) and some loafers + a belt to accessorize.
Thursday 3/27
Wednesday night game plan: it’s supposed to be cold tomorrow, which I just am so sick of but with a 75 degree Saturday coming at us, I’ll take it. Seems that my pins are sticking out in my head this week, and I want to try a brown pant / black everything else outfit I saw last night.
Thursday morning: The inspo does not translate. The girl in the original photo is wearing these brown corduroy trousers that are structured and go with her patent leather black loafers which add more texture. My version falls flat and I do not have time to figure out another option. Instead, I swap my loafers for these zebra print Margaux flats (similar) and grab some vintage gold earrings before leaving for the train. Not great but, it does the job.
Friday 3/28
WFH with a quick midmorning errand - low slung baggies, TB sneaks and an old Bloomingdale’s sweater. Paired with sunnies + my bag I was thriving in 65 degrees. I also need to clean my mirror! Yikes!

Thoughts of the week(s)
Men walking to work with no bag whatsoever is CRAZY to me. What a world to live in when you can just walk out of your home with nothing except what is in your pockets.
I loved
’s post yesterday about building her new summer wardrobe, especially since I’m going to be packing tonight and tomorrow for my little vacation that starts next week. COOD will be going OOO mode - fun outfits coming your way :)One of the dads at practice this week told his daughter to take out her hoops, and she replied that “she doesn’t look good without earrings and he should know this by now.” Admittedly, it made me giggle. 12 years old is such a funny age, when you think earrings can make or break your actual appearance when you’re already wearing sweats and a pinnee. Does anyone else feel like this now?!
Book Shelf
Just finished: Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy. SOB!
Next up: Care and Feeding by Laurie Woolever; The Lost Summers of Newport; and hopefully Fourth Wing by the time I am on the beach!
Wishlist Items?!
Nothing has been added since this bag from Tory Burch continues to just live rent free in my mind. If anyone is in the market for a smaller option, my sister bought Tory’s Eleanor Satchel in the color Wild Mushroom, and the taupe leather + suede sides are to die for. My mom and I practically forced her to buy it and she’s used it a ton already. Perfect for the city too because it has a very strong yet invisible magnet close.
Another great week of outfits! I love black and brown together, and your WFH outfit it great. That grey cardigan drapes so beautifully! Can’t wait to see your vacation looks!!
I adore these posts; someone give me a spoon to eat them up with. That yellow sweater continues to be a hero for me and I'm impressed with the way it lifts everything. And I said it once and I'll say it 1,000x that I love your Kendall recreation. It makes me think maybe I could do it too? Should I try today? I think I will!!
Finally, bless you for volunteering for lactose coaching. I used to volunteer with middle school girls and they are truly tadpoles in the midst of transforming. Godspeed with that.
