Short week this week but the busiest work week I have had since starting in my role. Did everyone else feel that?! It’s like 2025 finally started on Tuesday 😂 Anyways, it was a full week of client visits, which was very rewarding. I’ve been working on a piece about self-rejecting and weeks like this remind me why I need to believe in myself more. You’ll see that whenever I think it’s fully flushed out! But for now!
Let’s see what we leave the house in…
Tuesday

Monday night game plan: I decide I’m going to wear my lug loafers today so I don’t have to worry about the snow. To do that, I’ll need socks; so I’m going to do a navy/brown combo look to bring it all together.
Tuesday morning: pull on navy COS trousers, a navy cashmere sweater from J.Crew and a brown croc belt to semi-match my dark brown leather loafers. Now that these loafers fit well, I am so happy to have them for work, as they add some interest where I would have otherwise worn my slimmer penny loafers. Side note: these COS trousers are gold in my closet, I know they will fit and make me feel good no matter what. A gem to have when you get dressed in the dark at 6 AM.
Wednesday

Tuesday night game plan: my husband tells me he likes when I wear this blue hand-me-down RL sweater I have, so I decide I will wear it tomorrow when we commute together. I am going on site to a client so I need to be professional, I know just the outfit to make it work but also stay warm when it’s 7 degrees outside.
Wednesday morning: I put on oatmeal colored Abercrombie pants, and decide I want to choose between a blue and white button up under my sweater. I try the blue first, but it ends up being a lot of blue. Especially with the first side of the scarf I try. So I swap out the blue for the white, and flip my scarf to the side with more saturated colors. This is much better to me. I’ll wear socks with my loafers during the commute and then take them off at the office, this outfit really needs some skin!
Thursday

Wednesday night game plan: I have another day of client visits tomorrow but I will not make the mistake of loafers again. I think all black is probably the best way to go, so will figure that out tomorrow morning.
Thursday morning: oooooof I am sleepy. It’s 14 degrees outside and I pull down some heeled booties. I know I’m going to be Ubering between clients all day, so I am not worried about the height. I pair them with black tapered trousers and a black cashmere sweater (Everlane Men’s GOAT) but quickly realize I need some pops of interest. I think my leopard print pony hair belt is a good start, but also choose a fun pair of gold and pearl earrings I usually reserve for the warm weather, because why not! All in all, this is a good and repeatable winter outfit that I will likely pull from again.
Friday

Thursday night game plan: casual Friday tomorrow in the office, so I’ll be wearing my denim :) Going to also wear my new red sweater because it is literally so happy and I need the brightness to get me through.
Friday morning: I realize that my red impulse is probably because of
!!! I pop on thrifted a white and red RL button up and my new COS sweater I got on sale and am in love with. In the morning, I wore the sweater over the shirt and by the afternoon I had it draped, which I def liked better. Either way, the Celine loafers are making their second appearance of the week! Happy happy Friday my sweets :)Style thoughts of the week
Getting dressed in the winter post-holidays sucks. It’s dark and freezing and my feet are really cold. I want to wear something other than pants but cannot. Meh.
Chef’s Table
Funny enough I meal prepped these herby chicken meatball bowls for the week and found out my bestie did too. I usually just make the herb yogurt sauce and put it on everything, DELISH either way!
Also, last weekend I made this quiche as a frittata, added laciato kale, and it was gone in 36 hours. cozy cravings is my girl Haley if you’re ever in need of new, easy, yummy recipes!!!

Wishlist Items?!
A lot has been catching my eye lately but I am trying to remember that I can really love something and not need to own it. I read that in a Substack one day and can’t remember where (SOML). With that said I love this tiger striped mini dress, these off-white Levi’s that
posted about, this skirt from tibi, and this Loeffer Randal O charm. A girl can dream 💭
You are the queen of office dressing; this coming from a girl who does not work in a corporate office but I really love the business outfits you put together.
PS- not to be a total enabler but I *need* to see you in that Tibi skirt!! Also I have the 501 90s in ecru and they are so good as you think.
Loving the red sweater! Also I totally feel you on the cold weather, pants and “meh.” I literally wore a spring outfit the other day just inside my apartment 😂
