We’re back to our regularly scheduled programming! And with the long weekend, I decided to wrap this week’s COOD all the way around through Sunday, hence why you are receiving it tonight. I was inspired by
’s “what I wore to…” series she’s being doing in her notes. I love seeing what regular people where to regular and extraordinary events! LMK if you like the addition of the weekend outfits?! And good luck planning for the week ahead :)Let’s see what we left the house in…
Monday 4/14

Sunday night game plan: I washed my white cotton skirt so I am going to wear that tomorrow. Depending on the weather, I’ll decide what goes on top tomorrow - which is a day in the office with no on-site client visits.
Monday morning: I wake up and it’s a little chillier than expected, but I’m going to stick to my skirt. I pull out a short sleeve cashmere sweater and houndstooth blazer, but, something isn’t working. I swap both for a black fitted tank and a camel blazer with zebra print flats - I like this and am going to save it for Wednesday because I am going out after work. SO I go BACK to the original outfit but instead of the crewneck, I think of
and her layered cardigans. I think what wasn’t working was the lack of skin, so undoing the top button here makes a difference.Tuesday 4/15

Monday night game plan: tomorrow is going to be warm-ish? I’m going to wear one of my Hill House nap dresses and some sneakers because today was leg day at the gym and they are going to be sore tomorrow!
Tuesday morning: I accidentally hit “off” instead of “snooze” on my alarm so I wake up late and startled. I have 20 minutes to get out the door - always nice when my outfit is planned but it means no time for second guessing. I rip down my navy Hill House dress and Tory Burch red sneakers because I already know they work together. I look at a grey sweater and then decide to just grab a navy one. My skin is awful today so hoping a big earring can distract people from the massive zits on my chin. Lord help me get through this Tuesday!!!!
Wednesday 4/16
Tuesday night game plan: my plan is to re-wear my skirt with the camel blazer/black tank outfit I liked on Monday morning.
Wednesday morning: Mother Nature is laughing at me. I check the weather and the wind chill is 32 degrees. Last night was 60?! Apparently, it is no longer skirt weather. In an effort to manifest spring full time, I reach for my favorite green linen pants, and try to get them to a more transitional place with a black cashmere sweater, zebra print ponyhair flats and gold jewlery. I feel like I strike a good balance. I pop on my TB sneaks to commute in and walk happily out the door. 2 more days in the office until a 3 day weekend :)
Thursday 4/17
Wednesday night game plan: no real plan so I scroll a little Pinterest and find the above which I will replicate with some cotton leggings. We are going to team lunch at a nearby Chinese restaurant so comfy pants will be key to surviving the rest of the afternoon.
Thursday morning: no photo so use your imagination with the above collage. Please someone tell me how this woman looks so chic yet so simple?! I take some liberties with the color combo, and feel like the grey sweater calls for my silver slingbacks? Didn’t hate it!
Friday 4/18
Good Friday = Day Off. I wake up to run a bunch of errands before doing yard work. To go to the paint store, grocery store, bakery and Warby Parker store I wear jeans and a tee with a fun quilted denim jacket, a baseball cap and some Birkenstocks. By the end of the morning, the jacket was unnecessary, which was so happy!!! 😎 ☀️
Saturday 4/19

Two outfits for today! A white tennis dress for pickleball with the fam and then one for drinks out / dinner at home. Hill House strikes again, and my Margaux flat sandals (not pictured) make their debut straight out of the sample sale box.
Sunday 4/20
What I wore to church for Easter Sunday 🐰 I got this patchwork dress from Shopbop 2 years ago and have worn it so many times. I paired it with gold Margaux heels, Warby sunnies and a little knit bag. Around 2 PM I changed into lulu shorts and a sweatshirt, ready for some Bocce and a couch nap 😉
Thoughts of the week
I flipped my closet this weekend and put all of my turtlenecks/deep winter clothes away. I also put a bag of clothes in my Goodwill box, which means my closet is feeling a lot lighter - it makes such a difference when getting dressed in the morning.
Lots of men commuting this week with boat totes, I’m such a sucker for this!!!
Waffle House by the Jonas Brothers is so good and I cannot stop listening to it.
I need a bigger mirror.
Book Shelf
Just Finished: Iron Flame
Next Up: Like Mother, Like Mother (Onyx Storm is unavailable at my library for 7 weeks, SO sad)
Chef’s Table
I made Alison Roman’s Extra Coconut Cake w/ GF flour for Easter. I am a baker, but I do not excel at cakes - but I’ve watched her Youtube video enough to think I could easily do this one. It was a success! Definitely recommend only if you like coconut, as she says in her video intro - there is no substitute for coconut in a coconut cake lol
Wishlist Items?!
While I am still somehow thinking about the graphite work bag… the Tory Spring email hit my inbox and I perused so I could add to my watch list when sale time comes around (your girl is not buying $800 dresses as much as she LOVES TB) - this dress is my #1, so simple but so versatile.
Tibi SUMMER also hit my inbox and I am dying over most of it. I covet the mauve cargo pants from afar, but there is a high possibility I buy this dress when my clothing budget resets….
Lastly, I read that you shouldn’t be walking in your running sneakers? Maybe it’s true or maybe it’s a ploy to get you to buy a second set of sneakers? Either way I kind of am obsessed with these.
Ahhhhh!!! I’m screaming at your outfit from today (!!!) Very impressive that you got that up same day. But also, you look so amazing!!
PS- I’m very much HERE for your weekend outfits! I love seeing real life outfits for real life events.
Love those green linen pants!
